Can't Miss: 24 Magazine

I came across this from skimming through MagCulture blog today. What first caught my eye was the logo...

I have this thing for perfectly fitting letters/numbers together (like the above logo), so I had to click and find out more. I had never heard of 24 Magazine before. Maybe because it started six days ago.

"Starting on February 23, 2012, at 10am, we're making a magazine in 24 hours. Because we are optimistic to a fault. " ---24 Magazine tweeted

The concept of the magazine is to make a magazine in 24 hours. Clearly these people don't have problems with deadlines. Ten people got together to make it, including photographers, writers, editors, illustrators and designers. Pretty remarkable stuff!

  1. I just checked out the website...how haven't I heard of this idea before?! This is quite the accomplishment! I kind of want to purchase the magazine (only $2.00, says the website) just to see how everything turned out. The logo is great and to me it seems that the logos that I like the best are those that just focus on simple typography.

  2. I really want to see how this turned out. I'm all for a good deadline, but 24 hours seems a bit crazy. I am obsessed with the logo though. I love typography and simple little touches with typography and this logo basically sums up everything I love perfectly in 5 characters. I definitely need to check this magazine out.

  3. I wish they had posted some more links or information about what the actual magazine content focuses on. I even combed through twitter and tried to look at their flickr and tumblr .... only a few clues, and not many. I don't know, I'm a little dubious. The one thing that is obvious, though, is that they had a lot of fun. Intriguing!

  4. I agree. If the magazine is finished, let's see some of it! It's an interesting idea, but is that going to translate into different issues? I would hate working in that deadline! Seems crazy stressful. Fun, but a bit much.
